OQ selects NanoAvionics for MACSAT mission – SpaceWatch.World

Paris, eight April 2021. – The Luxembourgish area IoT start-up OQ Know-how chosen the smallsat producer NanoAvionics to construct its MACSAT, the corporate mentioned.

The mission is aiming to reveal 5G Web-of-Issues (IoT) service from Low Earth Orbit (LEO). NanoAvionics will construct and take a look at a 6U nanosatellite platform to host the MACSAT communication payload, OQ mentioned.

OQ is planning to launch the mission this or subsequent 12 months. It “will likely be a flagship for demonstrating superior 5G IoT providers in strategic satellite tv for pc frequencies and for various end-customers”, the corporate says.

The in-orbit pathfinder mission MACSAT is supported by Luxembourg’s nationwide area program, LuxIMPULSE.
