Australian Gilmour and Fleet Space cooperate on nano-fleet – SpaceWatch.Global

Luxembourg, 1 2021. – The 2 Australian companies Gilmour Area and Fleet Area are becoming a member of forces to launch a small nanosat fleet, Gilmour introduced.

“Now we have signed a contract to launch six Fleet Area Centauri on our Eris rockets in 2023,” mentioned Adam Gilmour, the CEO of Gilmour Area. Gilmour is  to launch its first business payloads to orbit subsequent 12 .

“This launch goes to contain an Australian-built payload in an Australian-built satellite tv for pc, on an Australian-built rocket,” added Flavia Tata Nardini, CEO of Fleet Area.

Fleet Area is constructing an Web of Issues (IoT) constellation with at the moment 5 nanosatellites in Low Earth Orbit (LEO). Fleet Area launched Australia’s first business nanosatellite in 2018 and is planning a constellation of 140 satellites. The corporate was based in 2015 and is backed by Blackbird Ventures, Horizons Ventures and Mike Cannon-Brookes.
