Arianespace launched 36 OneWebs on Soyuz – SpaceWatch.Global

Luxembourg, 26 April 2021. – Arianespace launched 36 OneWeb satellites on a Soyuz rocket, bringing your complete OneWeb constellation to 182 satellites, Arianespace stated.

Flight ST31 was the 56th Soyuz mission carried out by Arianespace and its Starsem affiliate; it was the 326thmission within the Arianespace household of launchers, bringing the overall variety of satellites launched by Arianespace to 868.

Pursuant to an amended launch contract with OneWeb, Arianespace will carry out 13 extra Soyuz launches via 2021 and 2022, the launch firm stated. “These launches will allow OneWeb to finish the deployment of its international constellation of low Earth orbit satellites by the tip of 2022.”

The satellite tv for pc prime contractor is OneWeb Satellites, a three way partnership of OneWeb and Airbus Defence and House. Starsem’s shareholders are Arianespace, ArianeGroup, the Russian state area company Roscosmos and the Samara House Heart RKTs-Progress.
